Open Creamery Day 2012
on Sunday, October 7th from 11am to 3pm (unless ***otherwise noted*** below).
As the hardwood foliage bursts in a blaze of colors on Columbus Day weekend, take in the spectacular sights and taste some award-winning cheese during the Maine Cheese Guild’s annual Open Creamery Day. Visit many of Maine’s cheese makers in their creameries, meet the animals, and learn the stories behind Maine’s more than 150 artisan cheeses. Along the way you can also visit a farmers’ market, stop at an orchard, explore one of Maine’s premier breweries or wineries, pick fruit at Maine’s legendary orchards, and drop-in on one of the many artisan bread makers our state has to offer. You’ll love the views, and the taste of Maine cheese, straight from the source, will be the best memory of all!

This year our Open Creamery Day took place on Sunday, October 11th, 2009 from 11am to 3pm (unless otherwise noted below).

In 2010 Open Creamery Day will take place on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend again!

Visit the creameries, meet the animals, and learn the stories behind Maine’s more than 150 artisan cheeses. Along the way you can also visit a farmers’ market, stop at an orchard, explore one of Maine’s premier breweries or winemakers, and drop-in on one of the many artisan breadmakers our state has to offer. You’ll love the views, but you’ll remember the taste!

Guild Meeting
Monday, April 6 @ 10am – Dept. of Agriculture, Cony Rd. Warehouse, Augusta
According to Don Hoenig, our host, the building is ” on Cony Rd. south of route 17 about half a mile on the left if you’re heading south.” According to Google Maps it’s at 333 Cony Rd.
