Open Creamery
Day?
One day a year, the farms and creameries behind Maine cheese open their doors — and you're invited in. Sample incredible cheeses, tour working cheesemaking spaces, explore aging caves, and learn about how cheese is made.Some farms work with local dairies to get their milk, and some produce their own.
On some farms, you’ll have the option to meet the goats, sheep, cows, and even baby water buffalo that produce milk for Maine cheeses. All creameries are different, so use our map below to see what each unique location has to offer on Open Creamery Day.
